ADRSA is pleased to announce Jamaica Kincaid as the opening plenary speaker for our second conference to be held Friday, April 11 at Harvard University. Kincaid is a is a professor of African and African American Studies and English at Harvard University and is a world renowned writer of novels, essays, short stories, gardening
and children's literature. Born in Antigua, Kincaid's writings reflect
real-life themes, drawing often on her own experiences and reflections
as a woman of African descent. She is the author of Annie John, Lucy, A Small Place, and her most recent, See Here Now, among a host of other works. We look forward to her reflections on the themes of love, intimacy, and devotion.
